External blast-resistant valve for mechanical smoke exhaust

External blast-resistant valves mount on building walls to ventilate and shut on overpressure, blocking blast waves. Also used on plant-room walls to protect equipment.

Keruite supplies a full range of external, high-volume blast-resistant valves.

The valve is normally fitted to the external wall of the protected building. In normal operation it acts as a ventilation inlet or outlet.

When a destructive blast wave reaches the valve, it adjusts or shuts automatically in response to the overpressure, blocking the wave from damaging the building interior.

  • When a destructive blast wave arrives, the valve adjusts or shuts automatically under overpressure to protect the building interior.
  • It can also be fitted to the external wall of an air-handling plant room, providing ventilation and protecting the host equipment when an event occurs.
